Scientific practices are continuously evolving as new discoveries emerge, and you could play a crucial role in pioneering research.Our HNC in Bioscience serves as a gateway into this sector and offers an introduction to techniques such as chromatography, qualitative infrared spectroscopy, titration, microscopy and more.Skills acquired during the HNC seamlessly pave the way to our HND course, allowing you to deepen your knowledge in core subject areas.This course equips you with the necessary skills and mindset to pursue or advance in laboratory technician positions, both within and outside of the health and nuclear sectors.

Entry requirements

HNC is a level 4 course so we would expect potential learners to have a level 3 qualification (A level/BTEC/T level) in a science related discipline and GCE English and Maths at a grade 4 /C or above. However, people working in a science related field without a relevant qualification will also be considered, pending an interview. All learners will have an initial advice and guidance interview before starting the course.
