This course will equip you with the coding and programming skills needed for a change of career or to progress in the digital sector.

Digital skills have been identified as a priority at a local, regional and national level and this programme will give you the foundations to build on in future employment.

You will cover core areas including: JavaScript; object-oriented programming; programming; robotics; software testing.

You will learn the key skills needed in the sector including how to analyse and solve problems, organisation and working under pressure.

The course will be delivered through remote learning sessions online.

Assessment is through a range of methods including reports, presentations and practical work.

Entry requirements

You will need to have at least five GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, to include Maths at Grade 4 or above.
You must be 18+ to study this course.

Costs

You can study this course for free if you: are 19 or over and do not already have a Level 3 qualification; already have a Level 3 qualification or higher but earn below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319 from April 2023); or already have a Level 3 qualification or higher but are unemployed. What next?
