Work is nearing completion on the new Green Energy & Skills Centre at Lakes College which is set to transform training and education opportunities and support a more sustainable future for Cumbria.

Nine innovative low carbon experience bays are being installed in the college’s Construction Skills Centre by PCL Net Zero to build skills in air and ground source heat pumps, solar photovoltaics, battery storage and solar thermal.

The centre will use technology from boilers, heat pumps and heating systems manufacturers Vaillant UK.
